Tec-Slip products are pre-applied dry film lubricant coatings engineered for precise friction modification across industrial and high-tech applications. The Precision Line (PR) is suited for clean rooms, electronics, optics, medical devices, and aerospace. Tec-Slip coatings deliver consistent, repeatable friction control while minimizing contaminants and particle shedding. Water-based formulations support safer handling and environmental compliance, with grades applicable across a broad range of temperatures and substrate types.

Tec-Slip dry film lubricant coatings are highly engineered and refined friction modification coatings. Many grades have been specifically developed and tested for special use in high demand environments, delivering performance that competing products simply cannot match.

The Tec-Slip Precision Line was developed for high-tech applications requiring custom lubricity with minimal volatile emissions, outgassing, hazing, and particle shedding, eliminating silicone, alkalies, halides, fluorides, and amides from its formulation.

Tec-Slip 300 Series is a thin protective film suited to screws in glasses, electronics, and small fasteners, offering a single-use coating rather than a permanent bond. The coating only needs to perform once, during installation, after which, its job is complete and it doesn't need to hold up to repeated handling.

400 Series description

The Tec-Slip 400 Series bonds to the coated article as a permanent or semi-permanent finish, functioning more like paint than a surface coating. The precision grade is designed for applications such as clean rooms, electronics, and optics, where parts are in constant motion or require fine-tuning and smooth adjustment is critical. Since these components need to be adjusted continually, the coating is built for long-term durability and lasting slipperiness.

The majority of Tec-Slip products are water based for safer handling and environmental compatibility. Typically low viscosity, they are easily applied by immersion, dip-spin, dip-drain, or spray methods. Custom rheology grades are available upon request.

What is the difference between the Industrial Line and the Precision Line?

The Industrial Line (300-IN and 400-IN series) covers general purpose through high-performance dry surface lubricants and bonded finishes designed for heavy construction, automotive, and standard industrial applications. The Precision Line (300-PR and 400-PR series) is a specialized subset engineered to minimize contaminants, particles, and outgassing for sensitive high-tech applications including clean rooms, electronics, optics, medical devices, and aerospace.

What substrates and assemblies are Tec-Slip products suitable for?

Tec-Slip products are suitable for stainless steel, aluminum, and dissimilar metal assemblies, as well as rivets, fasteners, construction hardware, electronic components, optical instruments, screen assemblies, vacuum and gas delivery systems, medical devices, and aerospace and military components. Although designed for metals, other surfaces can benefit from Tec-Slip products.
